Waffen sind eines der Kernfunktionen von DayZ. Jeder Gegenstand, der genutzt werden kann, um einen anderen Überlebenden oder Infizierten zu verletzten, oder gar zu töten, ist eine Waffe. Jedoch werden in dieser Liste nur Waffen aufgezeigt, die als solche konzipiert wurden, und keine Werkzeuge.
